Document Labeling with Sensitivity Labels

On this page, you will test your newly created labels in different Microsoft 365 applications.

tip

We will showcase Word and Outlook but the same steps can be followed for any Microsoft application.

Microsoft Word

When creating a new file, add the Sensitivity Label that you created.

Alternatively, when saving a file, you will be prompted to select a Sensitivity Label

Now, only those who are also part of the Sensitivity Label Access Control (points 5-6) can open the file.

Microsoft Outlook

In Outlook, only the people who are part of the same policy will be able to open your emails and attachments in them. Note that Sensitivity labels are currently supported only on Windows OS, per Microsoft.

Tracing Activity

Every activity involving Sensitivity labels is tracked in the Activity logs in the Securosys365 Cockpit.
