Installation

The KMIP Server is installed as part of CyberVault KMS. It is an optional service that you select during the Key Manager installation.

The KMIP Server requires an additional license, both on the Key Manager and on the HSM (KMI Protocol, see Configure the HSM).

The CyberVault KMS Installer

1. Complete the KMIP prerequisites and configure the HSM.
2. Run the Key Manager installation.
   • The installer prompts you to setup the KMIP Server, which will enable the optional kmip service.
   • If you already have a running KMS deployment, add the KMIP Server with keymanager services.
