Prerequisites - KMIP Server

To use the Securosys KMIP Server, you need:

• A Securosys Primus HSM or CloudHSM
  • With the KMI_PROTOCOL license
  • With firmware version 3.2.11 (or later)
• A CyberVault KMS deployment (see KMS Prerequisites)
  • The Key Manager is the management UI of the KMIP Server
• A database (PostgreSQL).
  • The CyberVault KMS installer (the shell script) deploys a PostgreSQL container together with the KMIP Server.

System Requirements

At a minimum, the KMIP Server deployed on a bare-metal server requires:

• CPU: 2
• Memory: 2 GB (16 GB recommended)
• Disk: 25 GB
• Networks: 1

The minimum requirements are for typical evaluation contexts and small-to-medium production contexts. For higher load production environments, additional memory, disk and CPU allocations are recommended.
