Overview

NetApp ONTAP is an industry-leading data management software. ONTAP unifies data storage and management to serve any workload across many different storage backends and storage protocols.

Securosys Primus HSMs are tamper-proof, certified, and high-performance Hardware Security Modules. They can be deployed on-premise or used as a managed service in CloudHSM.

Architecture Overview

To secure storage at rest, NetApp ONTAP can encrypt data with keys kept in a Securosys Primus HSM. NetApp ONTAP supports managing and using encryption keys via the KMIP Protocol. Through the Securosys KMIP Server which proxies to the Primus HSM's native JCE API, NetApp ONTAP can delegate secret key operations to a Primus HSM (single or cluster).
